Professional development, student learning meet in Ore. summer academy

Teachers at Chiloquin Elementary School in Oregon are learning literacy strategies and using the ideas to teach students who are attending a summer reading program. "The kids get the benefit, but really in a summer academy the focus is on the professional development for the teachers," said literacy specialist Lynne Marks.
