Slicker shell may do the trick for human-powered land speed record

A reshaped Kevlar-and-fiberglass shell designed to maximize the smooth flow of air around it is what designer Graeme Obree hopes will lead to a world land speed record for a human-powered vehicle. Obree hopes to set the record on his Beastie bicycle with a September attempt -- and possibly exceed 100 mph.
