IT boosts stroke care quality at Colorado hospitals

A patient management program launched in 2006 by the Colorado Stroke Alliance has led to better performance by in-state hospitals caring for stroke patients, according to the alliance. Almost 40 out of 70 in-state hospitals voluntarily participate in the program, which is Web-based and complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
