Health care tax credit may fall victim to debt deal

Lawmakers are considering eliminating a tax break for employer-provided health insurance as part of a debt deal. "Limiting the deduction for the higher income brackets is something that is on the table," said Rep. Sandy Levin, D-Mich., who is among the congressional leaders in talks to try to avoid a U.S. debt default before an Aug. 2 deadline.
