NRC: Progress has addressed safety issues at S.C. plant

Progress Energy has taken the necessary measures to address safety concerns at its H.B. Robinson nuclear plant in South Carolina, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The agency increased its oversight of the facility because of operating concerns and two fires in March 2010. "Their corrective actions for the issues we identified ... were appropriate and have been implemented the way we would expect," said NRC spokesman Roger Hannah.
