CDC issues advisory as first H3N2v cases are found in Ind.

The CDC said the first cases of influenza A variant H3N2v virus were reported in late June and linked to exposure to swine at an Indiana agricultural fair. The CDC issued an advisory to physicians on its Health Alert Network that covered case definitions and surveillance and included links to information on testing and guidance for public health officials.
