Platelet-rich plasma treats lateral epicondylar tendinopathy in study

Researchers from Stanford University Medical Center found that leukocyte-enriched platelet-rich plasma safely eased pain and treated chronic lateral epicondylar tendinopathy, or tennis elbow. The trial involved 230 patients. Researchers reported an 83.9% treatment success rate in the PRP therapy group, compared with 68.3% in the control group.
