WHO seeks to eliminate Chagas disease by 2010

The WHO announced last week a strategy to eliminate Chagas disease by 2010, establishing a Global Network for Chagas Elimination to coordinate efforts. The strategy focuses on creating diagnostic tests and strengthening systems to prevent the disease's transmission through blood transfusions and organ transplants.
