Study: Insulin sensitivity may not determine weight changes

Participants who gained, lost or maintained weight during a study period had similar insulin sensitivity rates regardless of gender, age and baseline body mass, a study in Diabetes found. The findings suggest that insulin sensitivity and secretion may not predict weight changes in people with prediabetes and healthy individuals, experts said.
