Restaurants learn to live without jalapenos during salmonella scare

After federal health officials warned jalapenos were responsible for part of the recent salmonella outbreak, restaurants began dropping them from menus -- and looking for ways around the spicy pepper. Also under suspicion during the outbreak that has sickened more than 1,000 people: Plum tomatoes, cilantro and Serrano peppers.
