Cancer telecare program eases pain, depression in patients

Researchers found that cancer patients who participated in an intervention program, which combined automated home-based symptom monitoring and a centralized telecare management approach by a nurse-physician team, exhibited greater improvement in pain symptoms and depression after 12 months compared with patients who received usual care.
