Sprint brings WiMAX to 7 more markets

Sprint Nextel said Monday that it had introduced its 4G service to seven additional cities in four states. It marks the first time the carrier has brought its WiMAX network to New York and California, and it increases its total 4G coverage to 43 markets. Also Monday, Sprint CEO Daniel Hesse suggested that users of the Evo 4G smartphone carry a spare battery to cope with the device's power drain.
