U.S. government freezes $3 billion in tech spending

Oracle, IBM, Accenture and others are expected to feel the effects of a White House decision to put $3 billion slated for technology projects on hold and re-evaluate government technology spending. "We're going to be reviewing the highest-risk, most-troubled IT projects to make sure that we either de-scope them or terminate them," said Vivek Kundra, the White House technology chief.
