National Guard protects South Dakota club as floodwaters rise

National Guard patrols roam the course of the Dakota Dunes Country Club after floodwaters from the Missouri River forced the club to close and residents of the surrounding community to evacuate their homes. Other South Dakota clubs have been able to reopen as floodwaters recede, but the extended closure of Dakota Dunes continues to cause financial woes for the 300-member club, which has had to cancel thousands of tee times and clubhouse reservations.
