TARP watchdog to audit housing-assistance programs

Neil Barofsky, special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, plans to audit how the Obama administration chose the 10 "hardest-hit" states that received $2.1 billion in housing assistance. The audit will examine housing-assistance programs for waste and fraud, as well as measurement metrics for their objectives.
