Energy UK seeks to standardize customer experience with smart meter guides

Energy UK is publishing and distributing a pair of documents for consumers designed to ease the transition to the smart grid and improve engagement between utilities and their customers. "The guidelines launched today are designed to ensure customers have a positive experience when their smart meters are installed," said Lawrence Slade, Energy UK chief operating officer. "The rules are there to contribute to a smooth and successful rollout of smart meters across the country."
