Experts: Diversity events offer key insight for MBA program candidates

Minority business-school applicants can attend diversity events to ask tough questions about a school's resources and tolerance and gain "brutally honest" insight from MBA admissions officers, says Shari Hubert of Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. Minority applicants also can benefit from developing a more personal relationship with school representatives, says Nicole Lindsay, founder of "A close relationship with someone where you really know their story can make the difference of giving that person a shot," she says.
