Experts: Diversity events offer key insight for MBA program candidates

Minority business-school applicants can attend diversity events to ask tough questions about a school's resources and tolerance and gain "brutally honest" insight from MBA admissions officers, says Shari Hubert of Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. Minority applicants also can benefit from developing a more personal relationship with school representatives, says Nicole Lindsay, founder of DiversityMBAPrep.com. "A close relationship with someone where you really know their story can make the difference of giving that person a shot," she says.
