Obama could get started on housing reform, MBA says

The Mortgage Bankers Association is pushing for five technical changes to housing finance -- changes that the group says President Barack Obama could make procedurally without legislation. The changes include having Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac issue one type of security only and encouraging private parties to take on more of the government-sponsored entities' mortgage risk.
