New York hospital warns patients of hepatitis C risk

The Northern Westchester Hospital in New York has warned about 2,800 patients of potential exposure to hepatitis C after discovering the surgery technician suspected of exposing patients to the disease in Colorado had worked there. The New York State Health Department is advising patients who had surgery at the hospital between Oct. 8, 2007, and Feb. 28, 2008, to come in for free testing.
