Analysis: Anxiety is a long-term issue for cancer survivors

An analysis of 43 studies found that almost 18% of cancer survivors suffered from serious anxiety from two to 10 years after their diagnosis. That figure compared with approximately 14% of the general population. Some data indicated anxiety rates were as high as 28% in patients and 40% in their spouses. The findings were published in The Lancet Oncology.
