Families of deceased soldiers support military's brain bank

Several families of deceased service members have donated the brains of their loved ones to the U.S. military's Center for Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine Brain Tissue Repository for Traumatic Brain Injury to help researchers explore the effects of traumatic brain injury. The bank considers several factors when accepting donations from volunteers and soldiers' next of kin such as soldiers' exposure to combat explosions and cause of death.
