Mass. survey: 51% of family physicians accepting new patients

A survey from the Massachusetts Medical Society of 1,137 physician practices in Massachusetts found 51% of family physicians and 45% of internists are accepting new patients. Data showed the average wait time to see a family physician was 39 days, down from 45 days last year, while the wait time to see an internist increased six days to 50 days.
