Marketing spending on alternative media outpacing traditional media

Marketing spending on alternative media rose 16.4% in the first half of the year, according to research by PQ Media. Alternative media, which includes entertainment and out-of-home advertising, online advertising, branded entertainment marketing, and mobile and interactive marketing, is expected to rise 17.6% for the year, driven mostly by mobile and interactive marketing.
