Atlanta hospitals join U.S. Biovigilance Network

Four Atlanta hospitals have joined the U.S. Biovigilance Network, a national group of about 35 hospitals and blood centers that will share blood collection, utilization and transfusion statistics. The network eventually hopes to include every facility that performs blood transfusions, creating a massive bank of data that could help to identify trends and treatments.
