Bulgaria's pharmacists demand government price regulation

The Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union has called for the government's Commission for Protection of Competition to institute a monitoring program to find and address cost differences in prescription medications of as much as 100%. The lack of reliable prices "impairs the quality of pharmaceutical services, the rational use of medicines and patients' trust in the healthcare system," the pharmacists say in a statement.
