Cleaning companies jump on wipe trend

According to data from IRI, household cleaning cloth sales in the U.S. were up 8.14% to $586.1 million for the 52-week span ending May 19. Capitalizing on this trend, P&G has added Gain scent to its Swiffer wipes and Church & Dwight launched Arm & Hammer Stain Treatment Wipes. "General purpose product marketers are doing a good job of convincing consumers that these wipes can cross into many task-specific areas, from kitchen to bath and beyond. Just select your preferred scent and clean up," said Susan Stansbury, founder of ConvertingInfluence.com.
