Fla. district trains educators to lead teaching teams

Teachers and administrators in Pasco County, Fla., participated in a recent two-day training to learn how to facilitate teacher teams. The educators will lead teaching teams that collaborate on lessons and student performance, with an emphasis on professional learning communities as the district transitions to the Common Core State Standards. "If we have strong, high-functioning learning communities, no matter what we have come our way we will be able to deal with it," instructional coach Sarah Trowell said.
