Cybersecurity, data-loss discussions continue on federal level

A House subcommittee on cybersecurity and industry work groups are scrutinizing President Barack Obama's push for a cybersecurity framework. The committee has heard statements from representatives from the Department of Homeland Security and the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and NIST has held three workshops to discuss a new framework. Witnesses at a House hearing pushed for a law to force companies to let users know about lost data.
