FDA bans Turkish firm's arils after hepatitis A outbreak

The Food and Drug Administration has banned the import of edible pomegranate seeds from Goknur Foodstuffs Import Export Trading in Turkey, after the products were linked to an outbreak of hepatitis A. The seeds were used in Townsend Farms Organic Antioxidant Blend of frozen berries, which were consumed by all 149 people in eight states who were confirmed with the disease.
