GAO agrees to examine data-gathering at CFPB

The Government Accountability Office will look into the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's data-collection effort, the GAO said in a letter released Thursday. Sen. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, had asked the government watchdog to investigate the CFPB's process.
