Philanthropists donate $1M for UCSD personalized cancer center

San Diego philanthropists Joan and Irwin Jacobs donated $1 million to the University of California, San Diego, which the institution will use to fund its new Center for Personalized Cancer Therapy. The center is an initiative of the National Cancer Institute-designated Moores Cancer Center and UCSD Health System and is focused on developing new personalized cancer therapies.
