Why many women stay too long at their jobs

Women with children tend to stay with employers that offer them flexible benefits because they are afraid their next employer won't allow them the same flexibility, says Dana Britton, director of the Center for Women and Work at Rutgers University. "They often perceive it as a one-off: 'Right, this is something my boss did because they're nice to me or my supervisor did or company did,' " Britton says.
