Coles and Australian health fund to incentivize produce purchases

Australian health fund Medibank Private will offer members who shop at Coles supermarkets discounts of up to $10 off their grocery bills every two weeks as a reward for buying fresh fruits and vegetables. The move is the opposite of implementing taxes on unhealthy food, and it takes the approach of rewarding healthy eating versus punishing unhealthy habits, said Medibank Marketing Manager Chris Carroll.
