Leprino Foods plant gets food-safety recognition

Leprino Foods' new one-million-square-foot cheese processing plant in Greeley, Colo., was praised by Gov. John Hickenlooper, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack for its food safety standards. When completed, the plant, which is the largest producer of mozzarella cheese in the world, will be able to process six million pounds of milk for cheese per day.
