Provisions on telehealth practice added to House bill

The House Ways and Means Committee expects to clear some of the obstacles to widespread telehealth adoption with the addition of several provisions to the health care reform bill, Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., said. These include a proposal to set up an advisory committee that will provide guidance to the government regarding telehealth practice and work on expanding Medicare coverage of telehealth.
