Stimulus funds to help infrastructure repair backlog in Va.

Virginia has said it will spend $1 billion in stimulus funds on paving, road construction and other infrastructure projects. Highway safety and construction projects will get $123 million, and bridge replacement and repair will get $116 million. However, state officials note that Virginia still faces an extensive backlog -- $4.7 billion -- in bridge, highway and pavement repairs.
