Lenovo eyes "LePad" Android tablet; Asus may switch to Android

China's Lenovo hopes to build and ship an Android-based tablet device this year called "LePad," following the company's earlier move to release a smartphone to compete with Apple. In other tablet news, Asus might deploy Android software on the smaller of two devices it announced in May instead of Windows Embedded, according to an Internet report.
