Typo derails Earlybird promotion

Twitter's Earlybird promotional account landed in hot water Tuesday after a typo rendered a promotional code useless. The message about the deal, which would have allowed users to buy a discounted high-definition television from Target, remained up on the account for several hours before Twitter got around to correcting the gaffe. The deal was also fairly unimpressive, commentators noted, as even after the discount was applied, the TV was available at another retailer for less money.
