Duke Energy mulls buying shares in S.C. nuclear project

Duke Energy is considering purchasing a portion of Santee Cooper's interest in a proposed $10 billion nuclear plant in Jenkinsville, S.C. SCANA owns 55% of the project, while Santee Cooper holds the remaining shares. Duke also said it intends to continue the construction of the $11 billion Lee nuclear plant in South Carolina.
