Adobe debuts plug-in architecture for PhoneGap 3.0, adds new APIs

Adobe has updated its mobile application development platform PhoneGap, Frederic Lardinois writes. Version 3.0 features a plug-in architecture intended to reduce app size and increase its speed by allowing developers to pick and choose. A new InAppBrowser application programming interface can show Web pages within an app and the Globalization API checks a user's location.
