North Carolina center warns patients over disease risk

The New Hanover Community Health Center in Wilmington, N.C., warned about 280 of its patients for possible exposure to blood-borne viruses after discovering that its machine for testing glucose levels in diabetic patients had malfunctioned. Although the exposure risk is low, the center is offering free blood tests for patients.
