National campaign seeks to raise awareness on feline care

With 30% of household cats not receiving proper veterinary care, according to AVMA, a cat litter firm is sponsoring the National Take Your Cat to the Vet Week from Aug. 16 to 22 to help foster awareness about the issue. Providing cats with flea and tick prevention treatments and other veterinary services "will extend a cat's life span and quality of life," a New York-based veterinarian said.
