Companies need to do more to help workers handle care for aging relatives, experts say. Lost wages and pension and Social Security benefits for caregivers have been estimated at almost $3 trillion, and caregivers often suffer health problems as a result of being unable to properly care for themselves, says Sandra Timmermann, director of the MetLife Mature Market Institute.
