Docs work to gain tools to transform health care, starting with an MBA

Executive MBA programs are gaining popularity among physicians and other medical professionals interested in acquiring management tools to help them grapple with the Affordable Care Act, improve patient care and take a more prominent role in improving the health care system. "Many physicians working in medical centers feel like prisoners of the hospital administration," said Jonathan Lehrich of the MIT Sloan School of Management. "They're tired of being told, 'Well, you're the physician. You just go off and practice and we'll make all the decisions.'"
