EPA's fiscal 2014 budget would be cut by 34% under House bill

Republicans in the House of Representatives presented a draft bill that would cut the Environmental Protection Agency's funding for fiscal 2014 by 34% and prevent the agency from imposing new carbon-emission restrictions on power plants. The proposed funding reduction doubles the cut proposed by House Republicans last year. These proposals are part of a spending bill scheduled to come before a House Appropriations subcommittee today.
