TSCA: Despite bipartisan bill, Boxer pursues "freewheeling conversation"

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., chairwoman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, intends to combine elements of two bills from late Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., along with other chemical bills, in legislation to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act, this article says. Boxer expects a "freewheeling conversation" during the panel's discussion of TSCA reform a week from today. In addition to the bipartisan Lautenberg-Vitter bill, the discussion will touch on the Safe Chemicals Act, introduced by Lautenberg in April.
