Chicago City Council enacts moratorium on small digital signs

The Chicago City Council has approved a nine-month moratorium on new digital signs smaller than 100 square feet that require permits but not City Council approval. The move, which comes after aldermen complained about not being notified of plans for new signs, doesn't affect larger signs and digital billboards.
