Democracy and innovation don't mix in Silicon Valley

High-tech innovation depends on strong, centralized leadership, says former Apple CEO John Sculley. The creative process can't happen by committee or consensus, and must instead be guided by the judgment of strong individual leaders -- think Steve Jobs or Larry Page, Sculley explains. "Silicon Valley doesn't live on democratic leadership," he says.
