Technology, equipment problems are common in operating rooms

U.S. researchers reviewed 28 studies and found that technology and equipment troubles accounted for 23.5% of all errors made in operating rooms. They noted that these problems were mentioned in approximately 15% of malpractice claims. The review was published in the journal BMJ Quality & Safety.
