Boeing touts 787 "plastic plane" at U.K. air show

Boeing's 787 Dreamliner has been one of the highlights of this year's Farnborough Airshow, an annual flying display held west of London to showcase the aviation industry's latest products and developments. Boeing's new plane is considered revolutionary because it is the first plane to be built using 50% carbon fiber composite materials -- hence the term "plastic plane." Boeing says that the weight reductions save 20% on fuel.
